Today’s post will focus on how to delete a Palmpay account with the security plugin that is automatically installed on your phone when attempting to load a Palmpay OK card. On November 20th, 2022, I received an email from one of Daily Legit’s fans, The email goes like this

”Dear Mr. Legit, I’m Sunday Adewale by name, Please I need your help on this issue. I got a new phone and I want to install my Palmpay account to the new phone but before doing that, I want to know How to delete my Palmpay account with the security plugin from the old phone so I can able to reactivate my OK card loan in my new phone”

This is the email we got from Mr. Sunday Adewale and today we are here to solve the problem, In case you are among of people who want to know how to do this, kindly read this article carefully.

How to delete Palmpay account

This is an understatement, but I will try to make everything easier. You can just press and hold the app and click on Uninstall, This app will be removed from your phone but this is not what you really need because this processing can only delete the app but not the account with the security plugin.

There are several reasons why you might want to remove the security plugin or delete your Palmpay account, as one of them has been mentioned in Adewale’s email.

Let’s start with the security plugin. Here’s how to get rid of it:

1. Ensure you have paid off your existing loan, whether it’s an OK card or a Flex Palmpay loan.
2. After you’ve settled your loan, proceed to the next step, which is removing the security plugin.
3. Open your Palmpay app.
4. Navigate to the ‘Finance’ section at the bottom of the app.
5. Find and click on ‘Help’ at the top of the page.
6. In the upper right corner, you will find ‘Disable Flex’; click on it.
7. Here, you will see ‘Disable Palmpay Reminder’; simply click on it to remove the security app.

Follow these steps, and you’ll be able to delete the Palmpay security plugin from your account.

 

The second step is to clear the cache and storage. This is where many people make mistakes after removing the security plugin, they will just delete the app without firstly clearing the stage. To do that, go to the phone menu, then press and hold the app for two to three seconds for the option to prompt up, click on application details, locate cache and storage then press it and Clean the storage.
Before you finally delete the account, kindly reboot your phone and then delete the app, That is all.
